PSP remake of the original Japanese role-player coming in 2008.

Square Enix has finally confirmed that its Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II PSP remakes are set to hit Europe early in 2008. Each game will be released separately and has been completely revamped for Sony’s handheld.

Alongside enhanced visuals, designed to fit the PSP’s 16:9 screen, character art has been updated and, more importantly, there are new areas to explore. For instance, Final Fantasy sees the introduction of Labyrinth of Time while Final Fantasy II gets two new dungeons, namely Arcane Labyrinth and Arcane Sanctuary. The latter also features new equipment and enemies - including a never-before-seen boss - to battle.
